POLICE are appealing for information after four men, wearing balaclavas and believed to be in possession of weapons, attempted to rob a convenience store.
The incident happened at around 7.30pm on Wednesday, September 4 at the Oxford Convenience Store on Oxford Road in Thornaby, near Stockton.
Police said the men threatended store staff, before fleeing from the scene empty handed.
An 18-year-old man has since been arrested in connection with the incident and has been released under investigation.
A spokesperson from Cleveland Police said: "Anyone with information is asked to contact DC Peter Lillie from Cleveland Police on 101, quoting event number 152647."
