A FEMALE inmate is accused of trying to secrete a cocktail of drugs into prison .

On admission to Low Newton Prison, Durham, for alleged breaches of a suspended sentence order, four different drugs were found during a search of Gemma Louise Collier.

The drugs were a mix of class C and class A substances, while a mobile phone was also recovered in the search, on August 29, last year.

Collier, 30, of Heath Road, Spennymoor, who has since been jailed for breaching a suspended sentence order, is accused of four counts of conveying a “list A” article into prison, plus one “list B” article, relating to the phone.

Appearing at Durham Crown Court, via video link to Low Newton, the case was adjourned for five days to enable her to have a conference with counsel, Liam O’Brien.
