A WOMAN shop worker has been threatened with a knife during a robbery in Guisborough this morning.
The robber targeted McColls on Westgate at around 6.30am but a member of the public apprehended the suspect until police arrived on the scene.
A Cleveland Police spokeswoman said: "A woman was threatened with a knife, however, thankfully she was uninjured. A member of the public managed to detain the suspect until police arrived on scene.
"A 20-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of robbery and he remains in custody whilst enquiries are ongoing."
