A ROBBER has escaped with a large sum of money after threatening staff in a bookies with a meat cleaver.
Clevleand Police are appealing for information after the robbery at William Hill Bookmakers on Kings Road, North Ormesby, Middlesbrough at around 9.30pm on Saturday.
A force spokewoman said: "A male entered the store with a meat cleaver and took a large amount of cash from the till, before fleeing onto Beaumont Road."
