POLICE have launched a dash-cam appeal following a crash which resulted in the death of a car passenger and serious injuries to several others.
The three-vehicle-crash, involving a grey Audi Q7, grey Seat Leon and a red Nissan Note, happened on the A67 near to Kirklevington, near Yarm at around 11.55am on Thursday, July 25.
Two passengers in the Audi Q7, aged 7 and 11 both suffered minor whiplash, while the driver of a Seat Leon, a 38-year-old suffered a broken foot and whiplash.
Two 15-year-old passengers in the Seat Leon also sustained injuries and whiplash.
Police later confirmed that a passenger, who had been travelling in the Nissan Note at the time, suffered serious injuries and died a number of days later.
A spokesperson for Cleveland Police said: "Our thoughts are with the victim’s family at this difficult time.
"Officers are asking for anyone who witnessed the collision or has dash-cam footage to contact PC Mark Thomas via the non-emergency number 101, quoting the event number 126345."
