MOTORISTS are being warned that road closures will be in place in the Leeming Bar and Bedale areas from next week.
The work, scheduled to begin on Monday, August 5, involves resurfacing the B6268 in Bedale between the junction with Market Place and Mowbray School.
It is expected to take 14 nights and will be carried out between 6pm and 11pm each day, during which time the road will be closed.
Work in Leeming Bar between the mini roundabout at Simply Dutch and the A6055 bridge is expected to take five days.
Most of the work will be done between 7.30am and 5pm, though some may take place outside these times to maintain access for businesses and properties.
The work will be phased to minimise disruption to the junction between Bedale Road and Roman Road and the mini roundabout.
The road will be closed during the work, but a diversion will be in place via the A684 and A6055.
Motorists are being advised there may be congestion.
