A PERVERT who was convicted of swapping indecent images of babies is back in court after breaching a sexual harm prevention order.

Mark Robinson, 37, was handed the court order and a nine month prison sentence after almost 9,000 pictures and movies – some of babies being abused – were found on his computer.

It was revealed in court 10 years ago that Robinson fantasied about abusing young children and discussed with others online that he wanted to assault a 10-year-old.

He was banned from working with children for life and ordered to sign on the sex offenders' register for ten years.

But a decade later Robinson appeared at Teesside Crown Court for the second time after breaching the court order by having a relationship with a woman with a young child.

Joelyn Perks, prosecuting, said: “An order was made in 2009. It came to the attention of the police that from April 2014, he engaged in a relationship with a woman who had a young child.

“She engaged in a relationship with him and was not aware of the sexual harm prevention order. He was looking after the child while she was at the gym and would reside with them every other weekend.”

The court heard Robinson, of Lowther Drive, Darlington, was being regularly monitored but Judge Deborah Sherwin said more information was needed before making a decision whether to pass a custodial sentence for the breach.

Judge Sherwin said: “The court will need a lot more information about what was happening over the years and how the relationship went on without suspicion.”

The sentencing was adjourned to September 23 to allow a pre sentence report to be prepared.
