THE organisers of a town music festival have thanked supporters for helping make the event a success.
The Ferryfest festival took place earlier this month at Dean Bank Recreation Park.
Ferryhill Town Councillor and town Major, Joe Makepeace said: "For several years now residents of Ferryhill have requested that Ferryhill Town Council, host its own music festival. Finally, the people of Ferryhill got to see those requests acted upon and were given the chance to enjoy a fantastic event with live music, refreshments, children’s entertainment and a licensed bar.
"A huge thank you to all who helped bring the event to fruition, to everyone who financially supported the event, and to everyone who attended.
"I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did."
