DOGS big and small have been captured on camera as part of a competition to find a picture-perfect pooch.
The winner was Apollo, a two-year-old French Bulldog.
Apollo, who was photographed by owner Leanne Grant, from Houghton-le-Spring, is best friends with her children Louie, 10 and Sol, 5.
She said: “He’s a big part of the family and he’s a big character as well. He’s still puppyish and still very excitable. I have two young boys and he’s like their shadow.”
He won the competition after a panel of judges chose their final two and then came top in a public vote.
Apollo wins a year’s worth of raw dog food, supplied by competition partner Durham Animal Feeds, based in Ferryhill, County Durham
And he will also feature, along with 11 runner-ups, in Durham Animal Feed's calender.
