TWO people have been charged after police chased after a car stolen in Stockton.
Stockton CID officers have arrested and charged a man and woman in connection with the theft of a white Ford Edge.
The vehicle was reportedly stolen from a property on Welland Crescent.
Officers recovered the vehicle in Norton following a short pursuit and the man, 42, was charged with aggravated vehicle taking and a number of driving offences.
The woman, 38, was charged with aggravated vehicle taking and vehicle damage.
They will both appear at court on Monday, August 19.
The arrests come as part of Cleveland Police’s Operation Phoenix; a summer long operation to improve public service, help vulnerable people, tackle serious violence and prevent crime.
