A MAN was left with nasty facial injuries after being dragged from his car and assaulted whilst waiting outside a Stockton school.
Cleveland Police received a report that a man had been assaulted on Piperknowle Road, Stockton, at around 5.50pm yesterday as he waited outside Harrow Gate Primary Academy.
The 57-year-old was assaulted by two men after being dragged out of a silver Ford C Max.
He was taken to the University Hospital of North Tees after being punched repeatedly.
He suffered nasty facial injuries and has now been released from hospital.
Two men aged 17 and 24 have been arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery, GBH with intent and criminal damage.
Both remain in police custody at this time.
Detectives are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have CCTV or dash cam footage which may assist the investigation to contact them.
A message sent to parents by the headteacher of Harrow Gate Primary Academy in Stockton warned parents that two youths were seen hanging around outside the school yesterday evening.
They were allegedly trying to stop cars driving past before they saw a family parked outside the school and assaulted the driver.
