POLICE are appealing for information after brake lines on a parked BMW were cut while it was parked over the weekend.
At some point between Friday, July 12 and Monday, July 15, police said a suspect had tampered with the brake lines on a blue BMW X1 estate, parked on the junction of Oldman Court and Doherty Walk in York.
Police said the incident had left the car inoperable while it had put the driver and occupants at risk.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: "We are requesting the public’s help to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident and identify anyone of note to the police investigation.
"Anyone with information that could help the investigation should call 101, select option 2 and ask for Gareth Foster or email gareth.foster@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk and quote 12190129492".
