HER Royal Highness, The Princess Royal will be at the seaside on Friday as she pays an official visit to Redcar and Saltburn.

Princess Anne will be visiting the Zetland Museum on Redcar's Esplanade to celebrate the return to its home of The Zetland, the world's oldest lifeboat, following refurbishment earlier this year. She will then visit Saltburn's Valley Gardens, part of the Cleveland Way National Trail, which celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.

The Zetland lifeboat saved more than 500 lives during her 62 years of active service and underwent a refurbishment earlier this year, only the second time she had left her home on Redcar's Esplanade since 1907.

The 109-mile Cleveland Way officially launched in May 1969, following almost two decades of planning.
