A66 closed near Scotch Corner after lorry spilled its load
MOTORISTS are being urged to avoid the A66 near Scotch Corner after a lorry spilled its load.
Both lanes of the A66 are closed and traffic is heavy due to recovery work and accident from New Lane, West Layton, to A1(M) J53 Scotch Corner (Scotch Corner).
A lorry has spilt its load and resulted in a car skidding on the spillage causing a collision. The road is now closed affecting traffic between Scotch Corner and Bowes.
