FAMILIES are being encouraged to spend a night under the stars at RSPB Saltholme to explore the world of wildlife by night.
The reserve, between Stockton and Hartlepool is inviting families to its annual Big Wild Sleepout whereby people can discover which night time creatures can be found on the reserve at the behind-the-scenes event.
It takes place over the weekend of July 27 and 28 July and activities over the weekend, led by staff and volunteers, will include campfire cooking, minibeast hunting, a twilight walk around the reserve and much more.
Craig McNeil, of RSPB Saltholme, said: “Experiences like the Big Wild Sleepout are amazing opportunities for families to get out and explore the outdoors like some have never done before."
Booking in advance is essential and can be done in person at the reserve, online at Eventbrite or call 01642-546625.
