THE mother of a missing 37-year-old who was last seen six-months-ago has pleaded with members of the public for information.

Michael Scully of Hartlepool, who has not been in touch with his family since New Year's Day, was last seen on Friday, January 4.

Shortly after his dissappearance, police launched an investigation to find the missing man following concerns from his family over his safety.

But six months on, Mr Scully's mother Susan Scully said: “We’re desperate for any information. We’re just waiting for something, to hear anything from him.

"If he sees this I’d just ask him to get in touch with his aunty. Just ring her and let us know he’s okay.”

Mr Scully, who was often seen street performing in the North-East and around the country, was known to travel to Manchester and London.

'Possible sightings' of the missing man had been reported, but police said they had been unsuccessful in locating his whereabouts.

Cleveland Police detective inspector Ian White said: “Months have passed since Michael was last seen and we remain very concerned for his welfare.

“Clearly it is incredibly difficult for Michael’s mother and the rest of his family who just want to know where he is.

“I’d appeal directly to Michael to make contact. If anyone has seen Michael or has information on his whereabouts please speak to police on 101.”

He is described as a white male with brown eyes, medium build and about 5 feet 8 inches tall.
