A CARE home threw a day of festivities for its residents and staff to mark its tenth birthday.
MHA Reuben Manor in Eaglescliffe, Stockton, first opened its doors on June 14, back in 2009.
To commemorate the occasion, the care home put together a jam-packed day of celebrations.
The morning kicked off with indoor games, and a performance from belly dancers, before a lunchtime buffet was served with celebratory drinks.
In the afternoon, residents were treated to performances by an Elvis tribute act and a debut from The Reuben Manor made up of residents.
Two residents, May Wright and Brenda Higman, who have been living at the home since its opening day, were presented with bouquets of flowers by the care home's Home Manager, Julie Peyton.
She said: “We all had such a lovely time celebrating with our residents.
"It was brilliant to see everyone enjoying themselves and taking part in the activities.
"We wanted to celebrate our 10th birthday in style and I think we can certainly say we’ve done that.
“We’re proud to continue offering our residents the very best residential and dementia care.
"The team here is so dedicated and hard-working, always going above and beyond to bring quality care to our residents’ lives.”
Earlier this year, Reuben Manor was awarded for being one of the top 20 care homes in the North-East in the Care Home Awards.
