A WAR veteran who went missing from home at the weekend has been found safe and well.
Police and family members appealed for help to trace Mark Woodhouse, 49, from the Stanley area, who was reported missing on Friday.
The married father-of-two served with the British Army for almost 25 years and completed tours in Iraq, Afghanistan, Bosnia and Northern Ireland.
A spokeswoman for Durham Constabulary has this morning said: "We’re pleased to say that missing Stanley man, Mark Woodhouse, has been found safe and well.
"Thank you to everyone who shared our appeal."
