THE couple behind the Voodoo cafe has new venture, with new bottle bar and off-licence on Duke Street.

Angel's Cut is the dream of Les and Kendra Fry, who also operate the award-winning Voodoo on Skinnergate.

It aims to bring some nostalgia to the town centre, with 1920s-inspired decor, and is the first of its kind in the local area.

Mrs Fry said: “It’s always been a dream of ours to open a bottle bar in the town centre.

"Duke Street is the perfect location for us as the street continues to grow in popularity.”

The couple's new venture –the first bar on Duke Street –has a selection of spirits, craft ales, ciders and soft drinks.

A variety of spirits including whisky and tequila from regional and national distilleries are stocked in the bar, including a range of 13 craft ales and a wider range of bottled beers.

The venue also doubles up as an off licence, stocking an large selection of bottled spirits and wines.

The couple said that most of the stock isn't available on supermarket shelves.

They hope to make Duke Street a more social and vibrant area of town and they are planning on introducing food at the bar.

In the meantime it is hosting tasting events, including a wine and cheese night and vodka tasting sessions.
