A TEENAGER is preparing for two major trampolining competitions following success in recent qualifiers.
King James I Academy student, Leon Davies, will soon be competing in two trampolining championships after winning first place in a qualifying competition.
The Bishop Auckland Sixth Former, who only discovered trampolining when he was 11 years old, qualified with an outstanding performance in the Over 17s Mens’ category at the English Qualifiers.
The competition was held recently in Telford and saw Leon take first place, despite competing against more experienced athletes.
Leon says he is now looking forward to competing in the English Championships final, which will be held in Sheffield in September.
He has also qualified for the National Trampolining Competition which will be held in July in Coventry after achieving second place at the competition qualifiers.
