AN elderly man has died after being hit by a car whilst riding a mobility scooter.
The man in his 80s was travelling on Fulford Road in York, when he was hit by a Ford Fiesta.
The incident happened at around 10.45am on Wednesday, June 5, before he was taken to York District Hospital where he died a week later.
On Tuesday, police launched a dash cam footage appeal to motorists who could have been travelling in the area at the time of the incident.
A spokeswoman for North Yorkshire Police said: "Police are appealing to motorists in the area at the time who may have dash-cam footage of the scooter or Fiesta prior to the collision, or footage of the incident to contact them.
"They are also appealing to anyone else who was in the area and saw either vehicle prior to the collision or witnessed the incident, to contact them."
It is understood the woman, driving the Ford Fiesta was uninjured.
