Damage to St Barnabas Church in Bournmoor
A LEAD theft has caused damage to roof tiles which date back to the 1860s.
Police are appealing for information following reports of a lead theft at Houghton-Le-Spring.
The incident is believed to have happened sometime between Thursday, June 13 and Saturday, June 15 at St Barnaba's Church in Bournmoor.
Anyone with information in relation to the incident is asked to call PC Dan Powell on 101 quoting reference number 207 of June 15.
