WORCESTER Hockey Club members have voted unanimously in favour of a collaboration with RGS Worcester to deliver a £2.9million facility.

Proposals for the Old Porcelain Ground on Droitwich Road, which include a 30-year lease at a peppercorn rent, right to buy and Worcester City Council facilitating a £2.1million government loan, were given the green light by city councillors last week.

Members needed to give their approval for the club to proceed with a host of questions from the floor for around an hour, mostly about the financial implications.

However, all voters were convinced enough to say yes.
