A ROAD was closed last night following a police pursuit in Newton Aycliffe.
Long Tens Way was closed from about 4pm after a collision between a police car and a blue Vauxhall Insignia.
Several police vehicles attended the scene, on Aycliffe Business Park, but it is not known if anyone was injured.
A witness said: “I was on the way to pick up my son from outside of UTC but couldn’t drive up the road because police had closed it.
“I could see an estate type car and a police car that looked as if they had crashed head on in the centre of the road.”
