Rescued kestrel which had been hit by truck dies despite air ambulance efforts
A KESTREL which had been hit by a truck was rescued by staff from the Great North Air Ambulance.
But the bird sadly died despite their efforts to save him.
Staff were on their way to a garage on Friday when they came across the kestrel, which had just been struck by a passing truck.
They took it to a veterinary practice in Darlington but despite efforts to save him, he died.
