A MAN has been charged with attempted murder following an incident at the Holiday Inn Express in Middlesbrough on Saturday morning.
Cleveland Police said a woman in her 40s had suffered injuries to her head and neck following the alleged attack at the hotel on Albert Road.
A 40-year-old man was arrested and charged with attempted murder.
The victim received treatment at hospital and has now been released.
A police spokeswoman said: "It is believed following the incident and prior to the arrest, the man was speaking to two occupants of a silver Vauxhall Astra which was parked outside the hotel.
