OLD tyme bulldogs Lola and Bear took their “bow vows” at a special wedding ceremony at the weekend.
Owner Andrew Crawford of Sacriston, County Durham, said: “My husband Stuart and I haven’t got kids, so we decided to plan a wedding for our dogs. I am hoping they breed next year so thought it would be nice for them to be married before they had babies.
“Lola fell instantly for Bear when I got him as a puppy seven months ago. They have been joined at the hip ever since.”
Lola’s wedding dress and Bear’s with top hat and tails were made by friend Glynnis Dunn.
Best man was Dexter the spaniel, while Lola’s sister Bonnie stood in as bridesmaid at the ceremony held at the Doggie Diner in Newton Hall, Durham,
In his “bow vow” Bear promised Lola he would stop running in the bushes with her sister Bonnie, before both signed a certificate with their paws.
