POLICE are appealing to the public to help trace the owner of a horse found by the roadside at a Newcastle business park.
Officers were contacted by a concerned member of the public who had spotted the horse near Balliol Business Park, believing it had escaped from a nearby field, at 7.25pm on Saturday.
When officers attended the scene, another member of the public had managed to secure the horse and bring it to safety away from the roadside.
Subsequent inquiries have been carried out to try and trace the animal’s owner, but so have been unsuccessful.
Officers are now appealing to the public to help trace the owner and, reunite them with their horse.
Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting log 885 080619.
