A CAR passenger was left with minor injuries following a two-vehicle collision at a junction in a village near Durham.

Police say the crash, which happened in Sherburn Hill at about 4.45pm on Saturday, involved an Audi S5 and Vauxhall Mokka.

A police spokesperson said: "It is believed the Vauxhall was travelling towards the cross road junction of Crime Rigg Bank near Sherburn Hill, at the same time the Audi crossed the give way junction, pulling into the path of the Vauxhall."

The passenger of the Vauxhall was taken to the University Hospital of North Durham with minor injuries. 

Police are asking anyone who has information relating to the crash or has dashcam footage to come forward by calling 101, quoting reference number 308 of May 25.
