ORGANISERS of a Richmond music festival have secured The Lightning Seeds as headliners.

Richmond Live will host the Liverpool band famous for their many hits including Pure, Lucky You, Life of Riley and England football anthem Three Lions, and they will be closing the show on Saturday, August 3

Richmond Live organiser Andy Brown who booked the band said: “We’re immensely proud to have secured The Lightning Seeds this year, they are probably the biggest band we’ve ever had and it’s a testament to the professionalism of our team that we’re able to get them.”

“The band have a wide appeal and they have a huge back catalogue of hits, even people who don’t follow music too closely will recognise many of the songs.”

The Lightning Seeds will be appearing at Richmond Live as part of their summer tour celebrating 25 years since the release of their album Jolification.

The event, which is now in it’s 21st year, features three stages and hosts a range of music styles over two days on the Batts in Richmond.
