A CANNABIS farm has been uncovered at a house in Kimblesworth, near Sacriston.
Officers from Chester-le-Street's neighbourhood policing team discovered the plants at a property in Cedar Avenue today after carrying out a search warrant.
A man is in custody and its helping police with their inquiries.
A spokesperson for Durham Police said: "This morning officers from Chester-le-Street NPT executed a search warrant at an address in the Sacriston area.
"A significant cannabis grow was located inside. A male is currently in custody assisting police with inquiries."
