A MICROLIGHT plane crash in the Langley Park area was a well-intentioned false alarm, police can confirm.
Officers were called to reports of a distressed signal from a microlight shortly after 4.30pm on May 21.
The National Police Air Service, firefighters and ambulance personnel joined in the search for the aircraft.
The search was concluded at 9.15pm after discovering the call was a false alarm made with good intent.
