Saint Cuthbert's Way in Newton Aycliffe has been closed by police due to an ongoing incident.
A ROAD has been reopened in Newton Aycliffe following an incident on Sunday evening.
Police closed Saint Cuthbert's Way in both directions from the junction with Horndale Avenue to Emerson Way.
A number of police cars, two ambulances and two fire appliances attended the scene.
Sgt Andy Boyd said: “We can confirm that an ongoing incident has been resolved peacefully.
“It is not something that will impact the wider community and there is nothing to be concerned about.”
The road was reopened at around 8.25pm.
