A BODY has been found in the search for a missing man.
Adam Brocklehurst, 54, had not been seen since Saturday, April 13.
Cleveland Police have now confirmed a body, which was found by a member of the public in the water near Smiths Dock Road in Middlesbrough, is that of Mr Brocklehurst.
A spokesperson for Cleveland Police said: At 4pm on Sunday, May 5, a member of the public reported seeing what they believed to be a body in the water near Smiths Dock Road.
"Police were joined by colleagues from Harbour Police, Fire Brigade and the Coastguard and sadly, at 4.50pm, the body of a man was recovered from the water.
"Formal identification has now taken place and the body has been confirmed as that of missing 54-year-old Adam Brocklehurst, who had been missing since Saturday 13th April.
"The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the Coroner."
