A CINEMA in the region has welcomed 35,000 visitors to its extreme sensory film experience over the last year.
Cineworld in Middlesbrough is celebrating the first year anniversary of introducing 4DX, which includes stimulating effects like water, wind, scent and strobe lighting which are timed to enhance what is happening on screen.
The seats move in time with the film's action so cinema-goers can feel they're part of the car chase, or standing in the eye of the storm.
Darren Rodgers, Cineworld Middlesbrough General Manager, said: “It’s been a great first year with us having 4DX and we’ve loved being able to bring this fun experience to the local community, welcoming over 35,000 customers through our doors since the screen opened.
"After trying it for the first time, we’re proud to see many of the same faces returning time and time again to see more amazing titles in 4DX. ”
