HOSPITAL fundraisers have teamed up with the organiser of an iconic Dales concert and a car dealer as they gear up to raise money.

The Friends of the Friarage in Northallerton are raffling a brand new Peugeot 208 supplied by Simon Bailes garage and joined with farmer Peter Fall who runs the Barn that Rocks concert near Bedale for the big draw.

The concert has been held for the past nine years to raise money for charities close to the heart of the Fall family with £32,500 for the Friends of the Friarage in the last two years, and £62,000 for good causes since it started.

Yorkshire vet Peter Wright will draw the raffle at the event on Saturday June 1. Donna Jermyn, Chair of the Friends, said: "I am delighted and grateful that Peter has once again chosen to work with the Friends. As a small charity run by volunteers, we are reliant on people like Peter who generously give their time and energy to raise funds so that we can continue to buy equipment for the Friarage Hospital."

Simon Bailes said: "I am thrilled to support the Friends and the Barn that Rocks. It's a fantastic organisation at the centre of the community which does marvellous work." Peter Fall added: "We are so pleased to be supporting this brilliant event. What about that a brand new car, it's very very special and there are lots of other prizes." Raffle tickets are £2 from the hospital, details are on the Barn that Rocks facebook page along with tickets for the concert.
