AN indoor karting site opens this Friday following a multi-million pound spend to develop an existing site on a busy trading estate.

National firm TeamSport Indoor Karting opens its latest site on the Portrack Lane trading estate in Stockton.

The site, formerly occupied by Arco, which supplied safety equipment, was refurbished and brought up to company standard with more than £1.2 million worth of investment.

Dominic Gaynor, managing director of TeamSport Indoor Karting, said: “We’re delighted to be opening our latest centre along Portrack Lane, Stockton – it’s a popular and thriving area of the town, and with excellent road and transport links we look forward to welcoming both the town’s residents and those living nearby in the surrounding towns.

“Most people know what indoor karting is but have never given it a go for various reasons – we’re sure that once someone has experienced the fun of karting with TeamSport they’ll want to come back again and again.

"Our range of race events caters for everyone aged eight-years upwards, so whether you’re a karting newbie or promising F1 superstar there’s a race format perfect for you."

Mr Gaynor said the firm had seen an increase in popularity across all ages and had launched a series of opening discounts.
