ROAD CLOSED: The A1 Southbound has been closed
ONE lane of the A1 was closed following a crash.
The incident happened at about 2pm and involved three vehicles on the Southbound carriageway from J62 of the A690 (Carrville) to J61 on the A688 Tursdale Road (Bowburn).
There was congestion to J63 (Chester-Le-Street).
A Durham Constabulary spokesman confirmed officers attended.
It is not known if anyone was hurt.
