A 28-YEAR-OLD man has been charged with murder after a man died outside a takeaway last month.
A man, aged 47, sustained serious head injuries after being assaulted in the early hours of Sunday, February 24, outside Porto Pizza on Windsor Terrace in Whitby.
The man was taken to hospital but later died from his injuries on Thursday, February 28.
North Yorkshire Police have confirmed a 28-year-old man from Nottinghamshire has been charged with murder in connection to the incident and he has been remanded in custody.
He is due to appear at Scarborough Magistrates’ Court on Monday, March 18.
