EMERGENCY services attended a serious car crash in Scorton, near Richmond.
Police, fire and rescue and ambulance crews were alerted to a single-car collision at around 11.30am, and the B6271 Richmond road was closed at the quarry.
Great North Air Ambulance attended the scene, near Coates Garage in the village, and took a man to hospital.
It is believed to have involved a van which left the road and crashed through a hedge.
The road was re-opened at about 1pm.
