TWO people were taken to hospital following a multi-vehicle crash in County Durham.
The crash happened at about 8.55am on Friday on Wynyard Road, in Trimdon Village, at the junction with Salter’s Lane.

Four people were injured in the three-vehicle crash.
A police spokeswoman said a Ford Fiesta, Vauxhall Vivaro van and a Peugeot car were involved.
She added: “One vehicle had overturned and the road was blocked.
“A woman appeared to be trapped in one of the cars and both the ambulance service and fire service attended the scene.
“One driver was taken to hospital by ambulance and there were a number of others with suspected minor injuries.”
A spokesman for the North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) said two double-crewed ambulances, a rapid response vehicle and an air ambulance were dispatched to the scene.
He said two patients were taken to the University Hospital of North Tees while two more were discharged at the scene.
A spokesman for the GNAAS confirmed paramedics had provided treatment at the scene but had not taken anyone to hospital.
