A FORMER estate agent is facing jail for a £110,000 fraud.

Roger Darnton admitted two charges of fraud when he appeared at Teesside Crown Court, and he will be sentenced in May.

The 53-year-old, of Priory Close, Guisborough, east Cleveland, was given unconditional bail by Judge Howard Crowson until his next appearance.

The indictment says that between April 2012 and November 2016 he committed fraud while acting as a lasting power of attorney for Sybil Littlefair, abusing the position to gain £4,487.96.

The second charge says that between November 2012 and January 2017 Darnton abused his position as executor of the estate of R.L Ramshaw to gain £105,168.55.

Darnton worked as an estate agent in Guisborough for 35 years.
