CHARITY bosses are calling the recovery of their stolen minibus a "miracle".
Staff and volunteers at the TCR Hub, in Barnard Castle, were left "devastated" when their 17-seater minibus was stolen while parked close to Newton Aycliffe Leisure Centre, in Newton Aycliffe, last Friday.
The bus had been used to transport children to an activity at the leisure centre but was stolen while the volunteer went to get a drink.
It left the children stranded at the time and also meant future outings would have to be rearranged or even cancelled.
However, Hub manager, Rachel Tweddle, shared the good news on the charity's Facebook page yesterday morning, revealing the bus had miraculously been returned.
She said: "Somehow a miracle has occurred and we have had our minibus returned!!
"Thanks to those who shared (last count seen by 87,000) and then reported sightings!!
"All the groups we had booked in over the next few weeks will be very grateful! Sometimes good things happen to good people."
