From the germ of an idea by company director, Cathi Harrison, Para-Sols is a thriving North-East success, which offers outsourcing paraplanning support. It was this success, and insight you get from working with more than a hundred financial advisory firms, that led to creation of sister company, Apricity, launched last year, offering support to reduce firms’ regulatory burden.
Across both companies, they employ a team of 35, and run two successful graduate intakes, supplying paraplanners and compliance support staff within both businesses.
If you have a good degree – in any discipline – a high standard of written English, and a great attitude towards learning, you might find that this is the right career choice for you.
Even individuals who never considered working in the finance sector are finding this sort of work to be challenging and stimulating, and, as part of the scheme, the business will pay for, and support you, through all your qualifications.
Founder and Director, Cathi Harrison, is encouraging graduates to think differently about a career in finance. She says: “We formalised the graduate scheme two years ago because we recognised a real need for talented, well-trained paraplanners. It has been an exciting journey, and we have a real passion to bring new people into the profession.
“Things are changing so quickly in the industry, and there are lots of graduates with the skills and ability to make a real success in these careers, who might never have considered it before.”
