A TRAFFIC light failure on a busy roundabout caused delays in Durham for rush-hour motorists.
Police officers were at the scene directing traffic through the Prince Bishops roundabout.
Durham County Council said at the time: "We're working to fix the problem with the lights but please avoid the city centre if you can.
"Check live images from your route in & around the city: www.durham.gov.uk/trafficcameras."
At 10.20am, Go North East reported: "Durham's traffic issues have eased and services are returning to normal. Thanks for your patience this morning."
