A CAR has been seized by police following a pursuit.
The incident happened in Conset, County Durham, on Tuesday night.
The blue Peugeot 307 was pursued by police just before 10pm after failing to stop for officers on Chaytor Road.
A police spokesperson said a "very brief pursuit commenced before it was dumped on Cortland Road where the occupants made good their escape on foot".
They added: "The vehicle has been seized by police. We are asking for anyone with information which may assist in identifying the driver and occupants to contact 101 to speak with PC 2854 Anderson, incident DHM-12022019-0415."
