IMAGES of two potential suspects to the theft of a bank card and its subsequent fraudulent use have been released by police investigating the crimes.

The rightful owner realised his debit card was missing after driving home from the Galleries Retail Park, in Washington, on the evening of October 11 last year.

It was reported to police the following morning, by which time several contactless transactions had been made in the Washington area.

The investigation is said to be ongoing into the incident and two men, aged 38 and 43, have been interviewed under caution.

As part of their inquiries, police have now identified two further males they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.

The two individuals now being sought were present in shops where two of the fraudulent transactions were made on the morning of October 12.

Police said they may have information which could assist the investigation.

Anyone who recognises the pair is asked to contact 101, quoting reference 135601W/18 or the Crimestoppers free phone line, anonymously, on (0800) 555111.
