FOOD lovers are in for a tasty treat as Darlington’s first ever #LoveDarlo Restaurant Week gets underway this week.

Almost thirty town centre eateries have come on board with the initiative to offer a range of savings including two courses for £10 or less.

Discount diners can chose from Chinese, Indian, pub food, café selections and much more as the list continues to grow.

Councillor Chris McEwan, Darlington Borough Council’s cabinet member for economy and regeneration, said: “Our town centre partnerships and events team has pulled out all the stops to organise this week. They have worked with lots of town centre food outlets to create some great deals to suit all tastes and pockets.”

Details of event, running from Monday, February 25 until Sunday, March 3, can be found at www.darlington.gov.uk

Food fans can look forward to more town centre treats as the Darlington Food Festival returns to the town on Friday, May 3 for The Bank Holiday weekend.

Other town centre events include the popular Morris Dancing Festival on April 13.
