YOUNGSTERS were banned from a town centre at the weekend.
Police in Newton Aycliffe issued a dispersal order in the town centre in response to a rise in anti-social behaviour.
The order was in place from Friday, January 11, until Sunday, January 13.
A spokesperson for the force said: "A number of youths were issued with these orders which prevented them from re-entering the designated area during the period of the order.
"We are now engaging with these youths to try and divert them away from further incidents."
They added that further "problem solving initiatives" are being planned.
