A SWIMMER who discovered a key at the bottom of a public pool is appealing for help in finding the owner.
Lucinda Riis-Johannessen had gone to Stokesley swimming pool with friends from Botton Village on November 2 last year.
"I was quietly swimming in the deep end of the pool when I spotted the gold key attached to a silver key ring at the bottom of the pool. I dived down to get it and handed it to a lifeguard so it could be returned to the owner."
But Ms Riis-Johannessen, who lives at Danby, said she has now been contacted by staff at the pool to say no one had claimed the key in the meantime.
She says she feels it is important that the key is returned to its rightful owner and is hoping they will contact her to let her know that the key has been returned.
Anyone who has information about the key or knows the owner should contact staff at Stokesley swimming pool on 01642 711140 or Botton Village www.cvt.org.uk
